Chapter 2 - Shin Hye's Confession




“Shin Hye-ah, are you happy now? As much as I love it that I’m carrying you like this but my stamina is not strong enough to last for another hour more. And your Aboeji said that you need to confess everything to me now because he doesn’t want to have late dinner.” He said continuously and smirked.


“Unless you’re really delaying your confession because you want me to sleep here.”


He attempted to kiss her but Shin Hye put her hand on his lips and motioned him to put her down.


When they were already sitting, she noticed Yong Hwa holding at his back area.


"Yong, gwaenchana? Am I really that heavy?" She said worried if something might happen to his back.


"Aniyo, I can carry you even for a whole day” He said happily and then smirk. 


“And I don't mind staying here.” He said while moving closer to her but then renounced and lay back to his seat staring at the stars.


Shin Hye look at him with eyes open wide. “It's just that we need to start now your confession or else your Aboeji will get mad because he's hungry already."


"Chincha? And why are you like that?" She asks.


"I think because of lack of exercise. I better start soon so that I can always do that to you anytime." He smile and wink at her.


"Hmmm... that's a good idea." She smile thinking that it will be nice if Yong Hwa will do that to her always.


"Now… stop day dreaming and start your confession." He then touches the tip of her nose like he would always do to her.


She lean her head on Yong Hwa’s shoulder and asks him "What do you want to know? I'm not sure where to start"


Yong Hwa extends his arm and then holds her hand so that she can rest her head properly on his shoulder. "You can start by telling me...” He paused to think what to ask her.  “When did you start meeting my Umma secretly?"


"Hmmm... I think it was the day after your launch... when you first introduce me to her." Shin Hye said casually.


"Mwo? Since then you've been meeting her secretly?" Yong Hwa moved and looks at her.


"Ne. Mianhe if I didn't tell you. Your Eomeoni don't want me to let you know" She said feeling sorry for not letting him know.


"How did you two met?" Yong Hwa curiously asks.


"Eomeoni called me. She said she got my number from someone. I still don't know who gave my number to her." She started.


"Then?" Yong Hwa is getting impatient.


"We meet outside to eat. Then talk about life and..." But Yong Hwa interrupts her.


"And…?"


"We talk about you." She pinched his cheeks.


"Mwo? You two talk about me?” He said and then smile.


"Ne, like how you are when you were still young. And she asks me how you are during our shoot. She also asks me if we still communicate and if I could also visit her to Busan." Shin Hye said.


"She wants you to visit her to Busan?” Yong Hwa asks.


“Ne.” She nodded.


“Did you tell her that time that we are already together?" Yong Hwa asks and Shin Hye shook her head.


"Aniyo."


"Wae-yo?" He asks.


"Because she never asks me about it." She said.


"So when did she found out that we are together?" Yong Hwa asks her.


"I think during my third visit to her. A month before I visit her with my family." Shin Hye recalls.


"Before you went to Japan with Geun Suk Hyung for the fan meeting?" He said emphasizing Geun Suk name when he asks her.


"Ne, before you introduce Seo Hyun to her." She answers back mentioning his on screen wife.


Yong Hwa and Shin Hye will always mentioned their names when they want to tease each other or more of make each other jealous.


"Chincha?" He said trying to change the topic about his on screen wife.


"We met at the same restaurant we had lunch today." She said.


"Mwo?" He was surprised to hear that she also met her Eomeoni at the same place where he introduce his on screen wife to her Eomeoni.


"Ne. Eomeoni called me and said she wants to meet me. I was not busy that time so I went to visit her." She said and then told Yong Hwa what happen that day.


Start of Flashback


"Shin Hye, gomawo for coming." Mrs. Jung said when both of them are already sitting at a reserved room of the restaurant.


"Aniyo Eomeoni. As I told you before, if I'm not busy and you want to see me I'll visit you." She said and smiles at her.


"I'm really very thankful to you. How I wish I have a daughter like you.” She said and holds her hand. “I've been waiting for the day that Yong will introduce someone to me as his girlfriend."


"You mean Eomeoni he haven't introduce anyone to you?" She asks.


"Ne, I know he do have girlfriends before but I think it's not that serious that's why I didn't meet them." Mrs. Jung told her.


"But now that he's all grown up, I wish he could introduce one to me." And look at her smiling.


"Do you think Eomeoni Yong will have time to have a girlfriend now?" She asks trying to check if she knows something already.


"I'm not sure also. I know he's busy but I can that feel someone is making him happy now. He look so inspired and every time I talked to him, he keep on mentioning one name. So I'm thinking maybe that someone is special to him. I won’t be surprise if one of these days he'll introduce her to me." Mrs. Jung said while still looking at her.


Shin Hye felt a bit sad thinking that Mrs. Jung is talking about Seo Hyun. Then she asks her. "Do you know the reason why I ask you to see me?"


"Ne Eomeoni, because it's been two months since we last met." She said.


"You're right but there's more than that." Mrs. Jung said.


"Wae-yo, Eomeoni?" Shin Hye asks.


"Because before I meet Yong's “reel wife”... I want to see first Yong’s real girlfriend and tell her…” Mrs. Jung then holds Shin Hye’s both hand and said. “No matter what they say… for me you are my daughter and Yong's future wife.”


"Eomeoni?" Shin Hye was surprised to hear that from her.


"Is there something that you want to tell me Shin Hye?" Mrs. Jung asks.


"Eomeoni…” Shin Hye's tears starts to fall.


"Shin Hye, I'm Yong's Eomeoni. So even if he’s not telling me, I can feel it. The way he talked about you every time he calls me. He never fails to mention you. How you take good care of him during your shoot. How lucky he is to have a friend like you. Your name will always come up during our conversation." She said and wipes Shin Hye’s tears.


“Eomeoni, mianhe if I didn’t tell you about this…” Shin Hye said and hold Mrs. Jung hand again. “I thought it would be better if Yong will be the one to tell you about us.”


“It’s fine Shin Hye. He is the man so he should be the one telling me about your relationship. So, for now… if for Yong you are his secret girlfriend… then for me, could you be my secret daughter?” Mrs. Jung asks Shin Hye.


“Ne, Eomeoni.” Shin Hye said happily. She then went to Mrs. Jung side and hugs her. 


“You don’t know how happy I am now Shin Hye.” Mrs. Jung said teary-eyed.


“Me too Eomeoni.” Shin Hye felt relieved as finally she is sure now that the most important woman in Yong Hwa’s life accepts her as his girlfriend.


End of Flashback


“After that I met her again with my Umma and Appa” Shin Hye continues.


“Your Aboeji said they went with you that time because Hyung Jun can’t accompany you? But how come when I asks him about you last night, he said that you’re with your secret friend and he doesn’t know who is it?” Yong Hwa asks.


“I told him not to tell you about it because of your Eomeoni’s plan.” She said then smiles at him while still resting her head on his shoulder.


“I really can’t hide anything from her. And in the end she even conspired with my Jagiya” He said and then slowly moved Shin Hye close to him for a kiss but was interrupted when they heard Shin Hye’s brother calling her.


“Shin Hye-ah, Umma said you better finished your confession now. Appa is already hungry.” He said while standing near the window. “And after that Yong Hwa don’t forget to get your reward from her.”


“Ne Hyung.” Yong Hwa said and then continues the kiss that was interrupted. A soft, sweet kiss that Yong Hwa ended it with a kiss on her forehead.


“We better go inside now. I wouldn’t want to give a bad impression with my future Aboeji, Eomeoni and Hyung.” He said looking at her only a few inches away from her face.


“And how sure are you Jung Yong Hwa-shi that you’ll be my future husband?” She said and touched the tip of his nose.


 “Because I love you more than you love me.” He said and gave a peck on her lips. 


“Saranghe Jagiya” Shin Hye said and hugs him.


“Saranghe” Yong Hwa said and then they stand up. 


They were holding hands while walking on their way inside the Park’s kitchen.
