Hee Chul: Now we are back. Are you all excited to know Shin Hye’s choice? Audience: Ne! Hee Chul: Who do you think should Shin Hye choose? Some of the audience shout 1, some 2, others 3. This makes Shin Hye more confused. Hee Chul: Shin Hye, are you ready to make your choice now? Shin Hye: Ne. Hee Chul: You can still change your mind. You can choose to date me. Shin Hye: Aniyo Oppa. I’ve made my decision already. Hee Chul: Chincha? Shin Hye: Ne. Hee Chul: I really have no chance with you. Shin Hye giggle. Hee Chul: Before you made your final decision, I’ll give you a recap of their answers through out the show. Mystery Guy No.1, at the start of the show he already said that he will be your prince and he proved it to his answers. He is the man who like you as Go Minam, a beautiful rocker and feels like giving you a ring every time he see you dance “Single Ladies”. He is also the man who will give you 13 red roses. He said it means showing you his respect as what a prince will do to his princess. But he still denies that it means he is also your secret admirer. And for your date, he will bring you to a first class restaurant; watch movie and will do star gazing while dancing. He said since he is your prince he will let you decide on what movie to watch and if you will let him kiss you. Shin Hye: And his answers are like how Tae Kyung is with Minam. He is like Prince Tae Kyung.
Hee Chul: Oh, Prince Tae Kyung. Now for Mystery Guy No.2, he said that he’ll be your buddy. A buddy with benefits I think. Kekeke. He is the one whose answers are always in relation to Heartstrings but with a touch of Jeremy. He really likes Lee Kyu Won so he chose your character and emotional song to Lee Shin as his favourite Shin Hye character and song. As for the dance, he likes your performance in Melon Music awards. He will give you 7 pink roses which he said to prove his friendship with you. But like what I’ve said, friend with hidden intention as 7 pink roses also mean high degree of infatuation. But he keeps on denying also that it’s not like that. Even on your date, he still chose a more friendly date. Taking a bus on your way to your date, playing arcade games, riding a motorcycle in Han River and eat ice cream before bringing you home. It’s really like going out with your friend. Shin Hye: He is like a combination of Jeremy and Joon Hee. But I think more of a Jeremy so I’ll call him Jeremy Chingu.
Hee Chul: So you have a prince and a chingu. Let’s see what you think of Mystery Guy No.3. He said he will be the happiest man if you choose him as your date. He made a good impression with you when he chose Hana as his favourite character of yours. For your performances, he chose your song Lovely Day and Satisfaction dance in Heartstrings as his favorites. When asked on what rose he will give you, he said he’ll give you 9 white roses. He said this means loyalty and everlasting love… that will stay with you either as a lover or friend. But he insisted that if you’ll be more than friends will all depend on your choice tonight. Then, for your date, which I think is still boring. He’ll bring you to a carnival date to eat and take rides there specifically the Carousel to remind you of Stairways to Heaven. Then you’ll go on a walk at the Botanical Garden and listen to songs… No talking. Then he’ll take you to a coffee shop before bringing you home. Isn’t that boring? I think the only thing that could make his ideal date exciting is his last surprise to you which he will only tell you if he was chosen. Shin Hye: He seems very mysterious which make me think that he is a singer/song writer. But since he knows most of my projects, I’m also thinking that he is a fan.
Hee Chul: So now Shin Hye, who will you choose… the prince, the buddy/friend, or the songwriter/fan? Shin Hye: Well… first I want to thank them all for participating in this game. For them to agree with this is already an honor for me. All of you seem to be good guys and it's really hard for me to choose. Hee Chul: Then just choose me Shin Hye. Shin Hye: Hee Chul Oppa! Hee Chul: Araso. Shin Hye: The guy that I will choose is someone who is different and mysterious. His idea of our date may sound boring but he is the only one who thought of getting my hand phone number. I think that is something because it only shows that he plans to keep in touch with me even after this date. And of course I would want to know the last surprise he has for me. So, I choose… Mystery Guy No.3. MG3 (Yong Hwa): Yes!!!! Hee Chul: Mystery Guy No. 3 Congratulations! You really sound so happy. Shin Hye: Mianhe Mystery Guy No.1 and 2. (She’s happy with her choice but of course feel sad for the other two.) Hee Chul: Shin Hye, after you made your choice, the other guys can no longer talk to you. Their microphones are now off. Shin Hye: Mwo? Hee Chul: But you will still see them. After you see them their lights will be off and will exit using a different door. So, it means you won’t have any communication with them. Shin Hye: Chincha? Why like that? Hee Chul: Actually I don’t know also. So, are you ready to see the other guys first? Shin Hye: Ne. I’m even more nervous now Oppa. Hee Chul: Don’t be Shin Hye. This is just a game. So, now Mystery Guy No.1 and No.2 after my count of three, you both open the curtain in front of you. Can I see an ok signed if you both heard me? Mystery Guy No.1 and 2 did the “ok” signed as seen in their reflection. Hee Chul: Shin Hye are you ready? Shin Hye: Ne. (She’s excited and nervous at the same time) Hee Chul: One… Two… Three… Open.
Shin Hye was really surprise to see them. Shin Hye: Geun Suk Oppa! Hong Star! Hee Chul: Yah! My fellow choco boys. Geun Suk and Hong Ki are both smiling and waving their hands to Shin Hye. Shin Hye: I should have known based on their answer that it was them. Omo! Ottoke?! Then their lights were off and their curtains are closed again. Hee Chul: Did you have any idea that it was them Shin Hye? Shin Hye: I didn’t entertain that idea because I thought they won’t join. I was thinking of someone else. Hee Chul: I my self didn’t know it was them. Now, I’m even more curious about Mystery Guy No.3. Do you think it is Yong Hwa? Shin Hye: Mwo? Hee Chul: The first two are your fellow ANJell. The only missing is Yong Hwa. What would you feel if it is Yong Hwa? Shin Hye: I’ll be happy of course. At least I know my date and he knows me too. We don’t have to feel uncomfortable because we know each other. Hee Chul: Are you ready now? Shin Hye: Ne. Hee Chul: Shin Hye before you meet him can we hear a song from you. Shin Hye: Mwo? While Hee Chul is asking Shin Hye, Yong Hwa already stepped out of his secret cubicle holding a bouquet of 9 white roses. Audience were asked to keep quiet so Shin Hye will not notice it. When he was already behind her.
Yong Hwa: Shin Hye-ah… Neon Naege Banhaesseo? Shin Hye: (She looks behind her) Yong? Yong Hwa: Mwo? Shin Hye: You’re my date? Yong Hwa: Ne. Wae-yo? You don’t like? Shin Hye: Aniyo, it’s not like that. How come you all didn’t tell me about this? Yong Hwa: It was meant to be a secret. Shin Hye and Yong Hwa were talking as if it’s just the two of them. Hee Chul interrupts them.
Hee Chul: (doing a fake cough) Hey, I’m still here. Shin Hye: Mianhe, Oppa. Yong Hwa: Mianhe Hyung. Hee Chul: Yah, its fine. Just enjoy your date. By the way, after this you will go for a dinner first. Our staff will follow you to film your date for tonight. The date that Yong Hwa just mentioned will be scheduled tomorrow. That one will also be filmed and will be broadcast this Saturday night as a special here in MBC Music. (He faced the audience) Again, let’s give around of applause to our MBC Music’s Valentine Couple… Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa. Shin Hye and Yong Hwa where lead to a black limousine. They will be going to the venue of their dinner date. When they are inside the limousine and no more cameras following them, Shin Hye hit Yong Hwa’s arm. Yong Hwa: Yah! Why did you hit me? Shin Hye: That’s what you get for not telling me that you’re joining here. I told you about this in my Kakao message but you didn’t even tell me. Yong Hwa: Like what I told you we were asked not to tell anybody that we are participating. Shin Hye: Tell me, did you know that Geun Suk and Hong Ki are joining also? Yong Hwa: Aniyo. I was also surprised to see them. Shin Hye: Chincha? You’re not telling a lie right? Yong Hwa: Ne. Shin Hye look at him in the eyes and is trying to see if he is telling the truth.
Shin Hye’s POV: Are you sure Yong? Why are your eyes look different?
Yong Hwa: Shin Hye, I’m telling you the truth. Shin Hye: Araso. Now tell me what is the other surprise that you have for me after our date? Yong Hwa: What do you think will Lee Shin do after his date with Kyu Won? Shin Hye: Mwo?
Shin Hye’s POV: Don’t tell me it’s a kiss?
Yong Hwa: What do you think Shin Hye? (He smirk) Shin Hye: I don’t know. (She paused) Yah! Just tell me now. Yong Hwa: Aniyo. You’ll know it tomorrow. Shin Hye: Yong Hwa! Yong Hwa: Oh, where here now. Gaja!
The limousine stopped in front of Park Hyatt Hotel. The staff of MBC Music accompanied them to the 24th Floor. From there, the receptionist leads them to “The Timber House”

When the lights are on, Shin Hye saw Geun Suk and Hong Ki holding the cake while singing Happy Birthday. Behind them are Hee Chul, Hong Ki’s FT Island band mates, Yong Hwa’s CN Blue band mates, Eun Jun, Minami Shineyo and Heartstrings casts, and other celebrity and non celebrity friends of Shin Hye. Shin Hye: You know this? (She looks at Yong Hwa) Yong Hwa: Mianhe. It won’t be a surprise anymore if I told you. Shin Hye smiled and they celebrate her surprise advanced birthday. The choice of Shin Hye is based on the result of the poll last February 14 midnight.

Hee Chul: Ask your question now Shin Hye. Shin Hye: Here’s my question. If I’ll choose you tonight… where would you bring me on our first date and why? Hee Chul: Good question Shin Hye. Will you base your choice here? Shin Hye: Ne. Since, this is meant to be a Valentines’ day date. The type of date that they could offer me will be a big factor on my decision. Hee Chul: Did you here that mystery guys? You better think of a date that will catch Shin Hye’s attention. You may start first Mystery Guy No. 1. MG1 (Geun Suk): I will go on a dinner and movie date with Shin Hye. First, we will go to a top class restaurant and have a good dinner. A princess like her deserves a good ambiance and delicious food. After the dinner, it’s time to relax a bit and watch a movie. Hee Chul: And what movie will you watch? MG1 (Geun Suk): It’s up to her. She’s my princess and as her prince I will grant all her request. Hee Chul: You still want to be her prince ha? After the movie what will you do? That is if you still have time. MG1 (Geun Suk): We can go the roof top of the mall and then just stare at the sky there. Look at the stars together. Hee Chul: Wait… I think I remember that scene. Don’t tell me after that if you won’t see stars you’ll act like punching her. But the truth is… you’ll kiss her. MG1 (Geun Suk): Well… if the atmosphere lead us to that why not. Shin Hye’s POV: His answers are always related to Tae Kyung and he seems close to Hee Chul Oppa. It means he is someone close to Geun Suk Oppa and him. Could it be one of the Choco boys? Who could it be… Jong Hoon?
Hee Chul: Araso. Let’s see if you’ll have that chance at the end of the show. Now, Mystery Guy No.2, how will you spend your date with Shin Hye? MG2 (Hong Ki): Like what I’ve said, I want to be her friend more than her date. First will take a bus and go to a mall. We will play some arcade games there. Once, we get tired and hungry we will go to Myeongdong and look for a good place to eat there. Hee Chul: That’s it? MG2 (Hong Ki): Aniyo. After that I’ll take her to Han River with my motorcycle. I know she’s fun of riding her bicycle. But for our date I won’t let her do that. She’ll just relax and enjoy the view with me. I will make her feel that riding a motorcycle is much romantic than riding a bicycle with Lee Shin. Hee Chul: You watched Heartstrings right? MG2 (Hong Ki): Ne. Wae-yo? Shin Hye’s POV: He could be someone related to Hong Ki and Yong Hwa. I’m thinking its either Min Hwan or Min Hyuk?
Hee Chul: Well… that’s how you are with me right now Shin Hye. I think at the end of this show you’ll really end up choosing me. Shin Hye: Chincha? Hee Chul: Ne. But I will still give Mystery Guy No.3 a chance. Let’s see his idea of a perfect date since he mentioned that he only want to be your date tonight. Shin Hye: Ne, like he was forced to? MG3 (Yong Hwa): Aniyo, no one forced me. It’s my own free will. Shin Hye: Chincha? MG3 (Yong Hwa): Ne. Hee Chul: If it is really your free will… then tell us how will your date with Shin Hye be? MG3 (Yong Hwa): I will take her to carnival date like how Shin Woo planned for Mi Nam. We will enjoy all the rides there. Play all the games. Eat the food that they sell there. Hee Chul: What rides will you take? MG3 (Yong Hwa): Anything that she likes but we will definitely not miss the carousel ride. Hee Chul: Carousel ride? Aren’t you too old to ride that? MG3 (Yong Hwa): Ne. But riding the carousel is to remind her of Stairways to Heaven. I think this is her first drama right? Wouldn’t it be nice if she remember it? Shin Hye’s POV: He loves music so he could be a musician/song writer. I just had an MV with Lee Seung Gi Oppa and he’s a musician/song writer. Could it be him?
Shin Hye: Now, I’m more confused. It’s really hard to choose. Hee Chul: But you have to choose. Like what I’ve told you, I’m here. I can just be your date. Shin Hye: Oppa! Hee Chul: Araso Shin Hye. Shin Hye: Hong Ki’s character there is really childish but cute. I would want to have a brother or friend like him. Hee Chul: How about a boyfriend like him? Shin Hye: I will feel burden if he’ll be my boyfriend. He’s too immature. Don’t get me wrong, I’m referring to Jeremy and not Hong Ki. Hee Chul: We know that Shin Hye. What if Hong Ki invite you on a date today what will your reaction be? Shin Hye laugh. Hee Chul: Why are you laughing? Shin Hye: I think that won’t happen. Or if it ever happen, we won’t consider it as a date. Like I always say, even if people see me with Hong Ki they will not think that we are on a date. He is the least person that I will have an issue when it comes to things like that. Hee Chul: Omo, poor Hong Ki. Shin Hye: Oppa, it’s not like that. I’m just really comfortable with him so I think that won’t happen.
Hong Ki’s POV: Shin Hye just really sees me as a friend.
Hee Chul: Araso. Shin Hye. How about Geun Suk and Yong Hwa? Shin Hye: With Geun Suk Oppa and Yong Hwa, even if people don’t see me with them there are still issues. Hee Chul: Is that the reason why you are not that vocal about your friendship with them? Shin Hye: Aniyo. I treat them all equally. They are all my friends. Maybe I’m just really more comfortable with Hong Ki.
Geun Suk’s POV: Why are you more comfortable with him?
Yong Hwa’s POV: Has this something to do with the antis again?
Hee Chul: Hong Ki must be so happy now after hearing that. Now, let’s go to the fourth question. This is for real now. Mysterious Guys are you ready? MG1/MG2/MG3: Ne. Hee Chul: Araso. For our forth question, if you will give Shin Hye a flower specifically a rose. What color and how many will you give her?
MG2 (Hong Ki): I will give Shin Hye 7 pink roses. Pink roses are said to be “flower of sweet thoughts and gentle emotions”. It also indicates an affection that may turn into deeper love. Innocent love that has not yet blossomed into passion and a deep affection that has not yet reached its pinnacle. Like what I've said from the start of the show, I want to be her friend first. And will just see wherever that will lead us after. I’ll give her seven because it means high degree of infatuation.
Pink Rose Meaning Hee Chul: Wait… you said high degree of infatuation? I knew it! You’re just pretending to be a friend so she’ll be comfortable with you. But the truth is you really like her. Am I right? MG2 (Hong Ki): Aniyo. It’s not like that. Like what I’ve said will see what happen next.
Hong Ki’s POV: Yah! Why did I say that? What will Shin Hye think later if she saw me? I hope she won’t think about what Hee Chul Hyung said. But wait… Am I really not feeling anything more than friendship towards her? Aissh… Hong Ki… of course you’re infatuated with Shin Hye. Who wouldn’t, she’s beautiful and kind. But it's only up to that. I treasure our friendship more than anything else.
Hee Chul: Shin Hye, do you think Mystery Guy No.2 is telling the truth? Shin Hye: I’m not sure… maybe. He said it’s only an infatuation. And infatuation is only an admiration right? Hee Chul: Oh you’re right. Who wouldn’t admire you? (He looked at the audience) Who wouldn’t admire her right? (He put his hand on his face) Omo! I think I’m blushing. Shin Hye-ah, I’m one of your admirer. Shin Hye: Hee Chul Oppa. (She smile and blushed) Hee Chul: It’s really fun teasing you Shin Hye. Shin Hye: I think I won’t call you Oppa anymore. You keep teasing me. Hee Chul: Araso, I’ll stop now. Before Shin Hye get formal with me, let’s go to Mystery Guy No.3 now.
MG3 (Yong Hwa): Shin Hye deserves 9 white roses. White roses are said to be "the flower of light". It also means everlasting love… a love that is sustained more by loyalty, reverence and humility. So, it’s just right that I give her 9 white roses. This is to reassure my loyalty to her and show that I will be someone who will stay with her as long as she live… either as a lover or a friend.
White Rose Meaning Hee Chul: That’s something. Are you also implying something here Mystery Guy No. 3? MG3 (Yong Hwa): Mwo? Hee Chul: Like Mystery Guy No.2, you said you just want to be Shin Hye’s date tonight. But with your white rose answer, you just said that you want to be with her as long as she live… that doesn’t sound a one time date only, you know. MG2 (Yong Hwa): Aniyo. It’s not like that. Hee Chul: And what do you actually mean?
Yong Hwa’s POV: Omo! Why did they choose Hee Chul Hyung to be the host? He is really good with this. What will I tell him? And what will I tell Shin Hye later about this. I really mean what I said. I'll be here for her no matter what. Aigoo, Yong Hwa think of anything.
Yong Hwa: It means… I’ll do that to her if she choose me tonight. We wouldn’t know what will happen after this. We may end up as friends or maybe more than that. Hee Chul: Chincha? Yong Hwa: Ne. Hee Chul: What do you think Shin Hye? Shin Hye: Well… in Minami Shineyo there’s one scene that I was holding white roses. I didn’t know that white roses mean like that. What he said reminds me of Shin Woo’s unconditional love for Minam. Like what he said, he will be there for her no matter what. Hee Chul: Shin Hye, are you reminiscing Minami Shineyo? Shin Hye: Ne, suddenly I just remember my times with my ANJell. The answer of Mystery Guy No.2 reminds me of Jeremy and now No.3 of Shin Woo Hyung. Hee Chul: So, now the only missing is Tae Kyung. Hee Chul: Now let’s start the dating game. Are you ready Shin Hye? Shin Hye: Ne. Hee Chul: We all know that Shin Hye started acting at a young age and have been into many dramas before. So, for our first question, if you will be given the chance to be Shin Hye’s partner in a drama which character of Shin Hye would you want to be paired with? Let’s start with Mystery Guy No.1., then No.2 and lastly No. 3. MG1 (Geun Suk): I’ve watched one of her interview before and she mentioned that she will never forget her character as Go Mi Nam in Minami Shineyo. It’s her first drama that she is actually acting as her actual age. So, I would want to be her Hwang Tae Kyung. I think it would be an honor to be her first on screen partner in a drama that is very memorable for her. I also think Hwang Tae Kyung’s love for Go Mi Nam is really special.
MG2 (Hong Ki): I think I prefer the cute and talented Lee Kyu Won in Heartstrings. In that drama she showed her talent not only in acting but also her singing and dancing skills. I could be her Lee Shin who is willing to sacrifice his own dream just to see her happy and successful. But of course I wouldn’t be like Lee Shin. When she returned I will win her heart again and show her how much I still love her.
MG3 (Yong Hwa): I love Shin Hye-ssi drama Tree in Heaven. I heard she acted there as a 21 yrs old lady where in fact she’s only 16 years old that time. I must admit I cried watching it. I choose her character as Hana because I want to be her Oppa. I will protect her and willing to sacrifice my life just to see her alive.

MG3 (Yong Hwa): For me it’s Lovely Day. Her voice in this song is so sweet. You feel like flying too like what she did in their video.
MG1 (Geun Suk): I will choose her song in their ANJell fan meeting in Japan. She looked so comfortable singing Glamorous Sky… a beautiful rocker Shin Hye. We don’t usually see that side of her. So I choose that one.
Hee Chul: They all choose different type of song. Mellow, pop and rock. So which one will you choose Shin Hye? Shin Hye: I’ll choose the song that I really enjoy performing. I really had fun singing Glamorous Sky in Japan during our ANJell fan meeting with Geun Suk Oppa. So I’ll choose the answer of Mystery Guy Number 1.
